Rolo is a 5 year old chihuahua mix who came to us because his family could only have one dog where they lived. Rolo had lived with the family since he was a puppy. He lived with a big dog before - he did okay with the dog but didn't interact with him. He does fine with other dogs, he just likes to lay around and chill in his own space.
Rolo is just over 6 pounds. He takes some time to warm up to new people. He might bark a little at new people, but he calms down once he's able to start getting used to them. He warms up faster to women than to men, but he does fine with men too - he just might bark at them a second at first (especially if they are towering over him, it's best to get down to his level)
In his previous home, he was house trained and used to being crated when his people were gone. Rolo is best with kids 8 and up who are used to how to act around a small Chi like Rolo.
Adoption fee is $350.00 (no checks)

This dog will be at our adoption event at the Woodbury PetSmart on Saturday from 11-2 looking for a home!
Our fosters do the best they can to provide all information about the animal's background and temperament while in foster care in their home. An adopters routine and home environment is likely going to be different than that in their foster home.
Sometimes there is more that comes out about a dog's personality once they have been able to settle in a home and truly become comfortable. There are great articles out there written about the different stages a pet goes through after adoption, discussing transitions that happen at 3 days, 3 weeks, and 3 months. We highly recommend reading about this - it will help you understand the transition your new pet goes through.
