George is a 6-7 year old Maltese who came to us from a breeder who is looking to downsize and was going to send dogs to auction. We bailed him out so that didn't happen. As you can see by his other picture, George didn't come to us in good shape. He had to be shaved down due to the condition of his fur.

He's a sweet boy who is learning what it is like to be part of a home. He will need a family who is patient and will understand his past. He deserves to be loved and spoiled and shown what real life should be like. He is working on housetraining (he was recently neutered) but also wears belly bands in his foster home.

George has been groomed, neutered and is current on his vaccinations. He is heartworm tested negative and started on preventatives. He is also microchipped. George had a dental cleaning as well and needed a few teeth extracted.

Adoption fee is $350.00 + tax (no checks)

This dog will be at our adoption event at the Woodbury PetSmart on Saturday from 11-2 looking for a home!

Our fosters do the best they can to provide all information about the animal's background and temperament while in foster care in their home. An adopters routine and home environment is likely going to be different than that in their foster home.

Sometimes there is more that comes out about a dog's personality once they have been able to settle in a home and truly become comfortable. There are great articles out there written about the different stages a pet goes through after adoption, discussing transitions that happen at 3 days, 3 weeks, and 3 months. We highly recommend reading about this - it will help you understand the transition your new pet goes through.
